We are incredibly proud to be one of several local business and hotels in Belper. In recent years, the town has done great things to connect with the local community.

The love for Belper is stronger now than has even been. In fact, it now has its very one website (lovebelper.co.uk) to help you keep up to date with the latest events, shops, restaurants and hotels in Belper.  We want to share the love with you, so in this blog post we’ve put together a list of upcoming events in Belper to help you pad out your autumn/winter diary. Of course, this list isn’t exhaustive and there’s new things being added all the time, so keep your eyes peeled here and on our Facebook page for more.

Whether you are a resident of Belper or you’re planning a visit, here’s a rundown of some of the best upcoming events coming up for November.

Autumn Fun Fair

Autumn Fun Fair in Belper

Get all the fun of the fair this autumn in Belper! From Thursday 31st October until Saturday 2nd November, one of Belper’s most popular events comes to town. Hosted on the Market Place and Coppice car park, this yearly event will feature much-loved rides like the waltzers and dodgems, fair games, market stalls, food, hot drinks and more!

The fair will be open from 6pm on Thursday and Friday and from 2pm on Saturday. So be sure to get the family wrapped up warm and pay a visit.

Fireworks Display

What is autumn without a good firework display? To commemorate Bonfire Night this year there are few events taking place in and around Belper, so don’t miss out.

On Saturday 2nd November, Belper’s Biggest Bonfire & Fireworks will be held at Christchurch Meadows from 6pm. Promising it’s largest display yet, there will be 2 MEGA fireworks displays, as well as fire juggling and entertainment, fair rides, a bar, gin horsebox, burgers and sausages from Owen Taylor and hot drinks!

If you’re still in the Halloween spirit come November, then be sure to check out ‘Belper…The Spirits Beneath.’

Held at the atmospheric Cave of the North Mill, local actor Alastair Massey will treat audiences to a night of terrifying tales. All relating to Belper of course!

For The Footie Fans

If you’re a fan of football, you won’t want to miss An Evening with Dean Saunders & Derby County Legends. Held at Belper Leisure Centre on Saturday 16th November, one of the most sought after football speakers will be interviewed by Nigel Callaghan, as well as holding a pre-event meet and greet.

Belper Christmas Lights Switch On

As well as a whole host of festive fayres and Christmas parties, Belper will be holding it’s Christmas lights switch on at Memorial Gardens on November 29th.

While the switch on will take place at 5:45pm, there will also be entertainment throughout the town including rides for children, a fairground organ, charity stalls and Santa’s grotto!
