On July 4th we will be reopening the doors to both the Lion Hotel and Restaurant. And we can’t wait! While we have continued to serve our community through a takeaway service in the interim, we have been patiently waiting for the day we can welcome customers back and it is finally on the horizon!
We are fortunate enough to have both large indoor and outdoor spaces at our disposal, which has made adjusting for current social distancing guidelines easier for us. As well as this, we have excitedly planned and prepared for 4th July, ensuring every eventuality is catered for and all bases are covered when it comes to keeping staff and customers safe and happy!
Planning Your Visit To Our Restaurant In Derbyshire
There are a few things you should know before you come and visit us. The first is that we are currently taking bookings for those wishing to dine with us. If you would like to eat at The Lion restaurant, please call us on 01773 824033. For those wishing to visit us for drinks only, we are allocating tables for this on a first come, first serve basis.
We have plenty of room to accommodate guests, including a large beer garden which we will be making full use of. While the current guidelines remain as they are we are also limiting indoor table bookings to two households or social bubbles. Outdoor tables can be shared by up to 6 households.
Finally, we will be asking all who attend to fill in a registration card on arrival. For this we ask that you please bring ID with you as you may be asked to provide it. We take the privacy of our guests very seriously and this information will only be used to contact guests and diners in the event of a Coronavirus outbreak.

We are 100% committed to keeping everyone safe, and therefore ask that our guests take into account all the above information as well as adhere to current social distancing rules when staying with us. In exchange, we promise a lively atmosphere, fantastic food, refreshing drinks and even better company when you come to visit us.
Over the next few days we will be releasing details of new menus that can be enjoyed at our restaurant in Derbyshire. As well as this, our takeaway service will continue to operate for the foreseeable future, allowing for you to order and collect your JC Hotels favourites, including our delicious stonebaked pizzas!
