The Venue

Our landmark historic building is nestled in the heart of the sleepy town of Belper. This means that we are surrounded by some fantastic views and beautiful places to have your photos taken. Not to mention Belper water gardens are just down the road! We can’t think of a better backdrop across Derbyshire for your pictures!
The Catering
If you have eaten here at The Lion Hotel, you will know that our food is of the best quality and highest standard. When it comes to your wedding breakfast or evening buffet, you can guarantee that even cooking for a high volume of people, the quality will still be just as good. We would never want you or your guests to be unsatisfied, so we ensure that everything that leaves our kitchen is perfect.
We don’t believe in a one size fits all when it comes to your wedding breakfast. That’s why we offer a selection of menu options for the traditional 3-courses, not to mention a number of optional extras, including a wonderful cheeseboard course!
