With summer starting to set in, we took a look at our menu and decided its time to make a couple of changes. Don’t worry, we haven’t removed the firm favourites, even if we do think it’ll be too warm for pheasant stroganoff! So why not take a peek into one of your favourite restaurants in Belper this May.
Our starters this summer are designed to be full of flavour! It’s time to treat your taste buds with fresh spices, powerful seasoning and a whole load of flavour!
Our brand new favourite is the Jerk Chicken thighs! These succulent chicken thighs are coated in a thick dose of jerk seasoning and served with fresh pineapple and charred corn salsa. You’ll be the talk of the table with these.
Of course, if you are looking for a vegan dish, our baked butterbean and cauliflower falafel will certainly whet your appetite. Served with a side of hummus, cucumber and tomato salad, it’s both vegan and gluten-free.
We can’t forget our seafood lovers! No starter menu is complete without a prawn dish, and this summer, we’ve gone grilled! Coated in paprika and served with crusty bread, it’s the perfect summer dish.
We absolutely couldn’t get rid of some of the favourites from our menu, so a few of the winter warmers are still on the menu! But we’ve spiced it up with a few new dishes!
Seafood lovers rejoice! We have a beautiful crab linguine on the menu! Complete with roast garlic butter, chilli, saffron and leek to build up the taste.
If taste is what you are looking for, our middle eastern falafel is full of flavour! Served with flatbread, dukkah, hummus, cucumber and onion, tomato relish and cumin fries, you’ll certainly be coming back again. Not to mention it’s vegan friendly!
On the theme of flavour, we have our, somewhat healthier, chargrilled Piri Piri chicken burger! Complete with roast garlic and lemon aioli, balsamic red onions, Monterey jack cheese salad and fries.
Well known for being one of the best pizza restaurants in Derby, we couldn’t completely swap out our pizza menu. So we added to it instead! Now offering a wider variety of stone-baked pizza you’ll be spoilt for choice. But don’t worry if you are spoilt for choice! Why not try the Lion Yard? This table sharing combines three pizzas together, or choose 8 toppings to mix it up yourself. Served with two sides this is the perfect sharing combo!
You’ll notice a few new faces on the menu. The San Giorgio compromises of buffalo mozzarella, parma ham, basil oil and parmesan. Or an unusual pizza twist, the Tonno features mozzarella, tuna, capers and red onion.
Most pizzas can be made on a gluten-free base, speak to the team if you require this.
Pizza lovers will be glad to see that our Nutella pizza is still available on our dessert menu, however, we have added a few new treats for you to try out too!
The St Clements Posset has a beautiful flavour and is served with complimenting ginger biscuits. Or we have the blackberry jam creme brulee, perfectly finished and certainly a new favourite.
