Why Stone-Baked?
Have you ever eaten a pizza that is not thoroughly cooked throughout? Maybe they have a soggy bottom? Of half the toppings have burnt, while the other half is undercooked? This means that you don’t get the perfect pizza experience.
As pizza lovers, here at The Lion Hotel, we want to ensure that every customer gets that great experience time and time again. To get that experience, we cook our pizzas using a hot stone. This cooks the pizza not only thoroughly but evenly throughout, and from the base up, meaning that you should never find a burnt topping or a soggy bottom! After all, a crisp bottom just makes the pizza complete.
Our Favourite Pizzas
It would be rude of us to assume that everyone likes the same toppings on their pizza. That’s why we have such a broad selection on our pizza menu.
Our favourite is of course the Lions Pride, topped with Tomato sauce, spicy beef, red onion, chorizo, mozzarella, sun dried tomato & parmesan. Here are some of our regular customers favourites:
San Giorgio – Tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, parma ham, basil & parmesan
Vegetarian – Tomato sauce, aubergines, courgettes, peppers & mozzarella (V)
