Here at The Lion Hotel Belper, we have two beautiful rooms to host your ceremony and wedding breakfast, followed by your evening celebrations.
Our Arkwright Suite is our main room, suitable for accommodating up to 70 guests for the ceremony and up to 120 for the reception.
If you are looking for a more intimate room, our Strutt Suite is perfect for up to 30 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. The perfect size for a simple intimate wedding, which are increasing in popularity, even post covid.
Our rooms can be decorated to suit your colour scheme, your preferences and we can even make adjustments to the layout, depending on how you would like your day or evening to play out. Such as increasing the space for the dancefloor, or removing it entirely should you wish.

We appreciate that it is not only the memories of your day that need to be perfect but also the photographs. We are located a short distance to the Belper water gardens. Here you can find the most stunning places for wedding photography. From pictures in the bandstand to the lawns with vast colourful floral arrangements. And even the river itself for those water lovers.
