In response to Government guidelines, The Lion Hotel in Belper, including accommodation and the restaurant, is closed for the foreseeable future. As sad as this is, we accept that these measures have been put into to place to protect both the community and the nation as a whole.
Right now we are coming together as a family and looking for ways that we can continue to support our team, our customers, and our local community through these unprecedented times.
Takeaways From The Boars Head
While our hotel accommodation and restaurant may be closed for now, our delicious food is still available for takeaway. In response to the new measures, our team have come together to create an amazing new takeaway menu. This menu will be available from 5pm-9pm (Monday-Friday) and 12pm-9pm on weekends.
The takeaway menu features all of your favourites and a few new faces. These include the quintessentially British staple of sausage and mash and our iconic Lion Burger alongside Meditteranean inspired dishes such as Greek salad and lasagne. Our delicious pizzas are also available to takeaway including the Royal (with Nudja sausage and mozzarella…yum) and The Lions Pride!
While we love seeing our customers in our restaurants it comforting that we can continue to serve our local community in this way. If you would like to order from our takeaway menu, simply call our reception team on 01773 824033. Our friendly staff will then get to work creating your selected dishes, ready for you to collect.

We want to extend a big ‘Thank You’ to all of those working tirelessly to keep us safe. To do this, we are giving Emergency Services, NHS Staff and Army members 25% off takeaways from The Lion Hotel.
