Who doesn’t love a takeaway? As a treat after a hard week or on those days when you just can’t find the energy to cook, delicious takeaways are always there to keep us going. In response to the current situation, we decided that more people than ever might be in need of a pick me up. So we have introduced our new menu for takeaways in Derby here at The Lion Hotel.

Now, our valued customers and friends can enjoy delicious food from The Lion in the comfort of their own home. What’s more, we’re giving NHS staff, Emergency Services and Army Members a delicious 25% off our takeaways in Derby to say a big thank you for all of their valiant efforts!
Community Spirit
Community has always meant a great deal to us. As a family-run business, we see our staff, customers and guests as an extension of our family. The last few weeks have seen communities pull together in all areas to help each other, provide invaluable support and appreciate those key workers doing amazing things to help us through this difficult time.
Every Thursday at 8pm we step outside and applaud along with our neighbours as a way of saying thank you. But we wanted to go one step further. With our new service for takeaways in Derby, we’re doing what we can to serve those in our local community. Therefore, if you are a staff member working in the NHS, Emergency Services or the Army, all you need to do is let us know and we will give you 25% off your takeaway.
Further to this, if you are a vulnerable person in the community and unable to collect your order, please give us a call and speak to our reception team. We are doing everything that we can to arrange delivery to those in Belper and the surrounding area that need it most, and we will do the same for you if we can.
Treat Yourself To A Takeaway
If you don’t fancy cooking, then give our takeaway service a try! We’re offering takeaways in Derby from Wednesday to Friday (5pm-9pm) and Saturdays and Sundays (12pm-9pm). All you need to do is decide what you would like to eat, give us a call on 01773 824033 and pay over the phone. We’ll then get to work on your order and when it’s ready you can come and collect it from us. For collections, we are practising social distancing as recommended by the government to ensure the safety of staff & customers.
Throughout the course of our service, we’re making all of your favourites available here at The Lion. From the epic Lion Burger to our mouth-watering vegan curry, there’s a whole selection of good food waiting for you. We’ve also got a treat or two for the little ones, including our Peppa Pig pizza. That will perk them right up!
We’re also offering traditional Sunday Roasts every weekend, with meat and vegetarian options available for pre-order! So whether you’re hankering for a mid-week pick-me-up or missing your Sunday carveries, you can enjoy all of your favourites with our takeaway service.
