Treat Dad at The Lion Hotel This Father’s Day

Treat Dad at The Lion Hotel This Father’s Day

As fathers day comes around again, this year you might want to treat dad to something special. The last 18 months have seen families unable to see one and another properly or families cooped up in the same house with little relief. So our dads have put up with a lot. Bring them down to The Lion Hotel Belper where we can take care of all the cooking and the washing up after!

Something For all Tastes

Not every dad will have the same idea of what their perfect meal will be. So this year, with all restrictions that are in place, we have decided to keep our full menu available for dad to choose his absolute favourites! That even includes us offering our Sunday roasts (there are not many dads who don’t love a good roast!). Need some ideas to get his taste buds tingling? Here are some of the favourites of the dads we have here:
Mixed Grill – of course, one of the favourites would be the meatiest dish on the menu! This hearty meal comes complete with Bavette steak, porchetta, chicken, smoked streaky bacon, sausage, black pudding, fried egg, chips, garlic roasted portabello mushroom, roasted tomato and onion rings.
Chargrilled Quarter Chicken – A typical dad meal is of course chicken and chips, but here’s our spin on this simple dish! The chicken comes glazed in a sticky whisky BBQ sauce with fries and honey mustard slaw.
Vegan Thai Red Curry – Not all dads are big meat eaters! So for those who don’t, our Thai Red Curry ticks all the boxes and includes spiced cauliflower and potato served with aromatic rice. This dish is also available as gluten-free.
Waldorf Salad – With many people trying to lose a bit of lockdown timber, the Waldorf Salad is a tasty yet slimming option made up of caramelized walnuts, apple, celery, grapes, lettuce, lemon yoghurt dressing with either bavette steak or buffalo mozzarella.

A Quiet Day

Not all dads enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy fathers day lunch. And with the current situation, we understand this even more. So why not bring dad down a different day, for something a little quieter. What about treating dad to an Afternoon Tea? Or bring the whole family down for a nice quiet lunch where you can make a fuss of dad, not just because it’s fathers day, but just because he’s him.

If you are looking at visiting us on fathers day or planning to bring the family on any day, please get in touch with our team today who will be happy to get you booked into a time that suits you.
Please note that we are currently following government guidelines and restrictions are still in place, meaning that we are running at a reduced capacity so booking is essential. Thank you for your understanding during this time. We look forward to seeing you soon!
