This month, we’re really proud to present Derby band Swamptrash at The Lion Hotel in Belper on Saturday 19th October.

Swamptrash are a Derby-born band heavily influenced by a surprising blend of Cajun and Celtic music. Described as ‘the music you might hear in a Galway bar if The Cajuns were over on tour.’ Swamptrash’s sets are filled with hypnotic Cajun two steps with a funky Celtic edge, drinking songs, and a few classic tunes you may recognise along the way.
Fronted by internationally known Chris Hall (who has recorded with the likes of Kate Bush and Bill Wyman), this trio of musicians are the perfect accompaniment for your Saturday night. And we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to our hotel in Belper for an evening of upbeat fun.
