The 21st June marks the official start of summer (although no one has told the weather) and our hotel in Belper has been looking forward to this moment all year. Let’s start with our food. At the Lion, there is a huge selection of menus to choose from – So, there is something for everyone!
Our gastro menu is full of classics and our own creations such as Beer Battered Fish and Chips or Gammon and all the trimmings – or try our own Lion Burger, which is a classic burger with our signature twist. Maybe something off the grill is your taste such as the ever-impressive mixed grill or tender aged steaks.
The Lion is not only famous for our Gastro menu we’re also one of only a few restaurants in Belper with an authentic stone baked pizza oven. Our pizza menu offers a diversity of flavours with both traditional recipes and our own chef’s recipes.
Pair your food with an ice-cold drink and that’s your perfect summer recipe. At the Lion, we have an equally varied drinks menu to accompany your dining options.
Relax and sip down a chilled draught or bottled alcohol as well as a full complement of soft beverages and better yet enjoy them in our sun-kissed beer garden. Additionally, we’ve produced a stacked cocktail menu full of summer inspired flavours and you’ll think you’re on the beaches of your favourite tropical isles, choose from alcoholic and soft cocktails like our pineapple crush, mojito or classic Pims, to name a just few.
