Strutts North Mill Museum

Set right here in the heart of Belper lies the Strutts North Mill Museum. This wonderful museum gives visitors an insight into the workings of the family business that brought Belper from a small hamlet to a thriving industrial town.

Strutts offers a great experience for children between the ages of 2 and 8 in the form of a mouse hunt! With an illustrated book that guides your little ones around the mill on a hunt for Millie the mouse’s 6 missing babies! It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained, with a promise of a certificate and a small treat at the end.

Alongside the museum, the site also offers regular “Heritage Walks”. These walks take a group on a tour of local heritage sites around the Belper area.
