Darley Park

Just a fifteen minute drive away from The Lion Hotel you can find the picturesque Darley Park. With a stunning Hydrangea garden, paired with a beautiful summery butterfly garden, the park boasts a naturally colourful display.

With the length of the park spread along the tranquil River Derwent, there are plenty of places to settle in for a picnic with a view. If you’re feeling a little more energetic, take a walk around the park. It’s sure to get the blood pumping and you’ll benefit from some wonderful fresh air.

The furthest end of the park leads onto Darley Abbey Park. With beautiful views and excellent photo opportunities. It is definitely worth a walk from one end of the park to the other to appreciate the extent of nature.
