Share the Joy at The Lion Hotel

Here at The Lion Hotel in Belper we think that one of the best parts of eating a delicious meal is sharing! So our brand new menu has three incredible sharing platters for you to choose from. These can either be served as starter, a light lunch or as quick snack.

Our Sharing Platters at The Lion Hotel

The Lion Indoor Picnic is one of our most popular options, and lets you enjoy all the delights of picnic food without having to depend on the English weather. It features quiche, pork pie, sausage roll, scotch egg, chicken liver pate with fresh baked break and homemade chutney and piccalilli. All your favourites on one plate!

The meat platter features all the different types you could ever hope for – salami, chorizo, honey roast ham, Cajun chicken strips, pan fried belly pork pieces in a plum sauce. Or if you prefer our fish option, you can delve into a plate of smoked mackerel & horseradish pate, homemade cod goujons, smoked salmon, prawns and crusty bread.

The Lion Hotel, Belper also serves an extensive gastro pub menu for you to enjoy which includes a wide range of appetisers, starters, mains, salads, steaks, sandwiches and specials. We even have a childrens menu for if your little ones are dining too – we even have a margherita pizza which is shaped like peppa pig.
